Default I got a 'kota

.. just got home yesterday with a Lakota. The dealer loaded it up and set the parking brake, upon releasing it it seems that the only function of the lever on the left is for the parking brake function, I always thought that it was a hand brake as well, am I wrong? Also the exhaust/ muffler is rusted , any pinters on repainting?
Thanks

you can use it as a hand brake but it wears down faster than if you just used it as a parking brake. and when you paint it sand blast it then use a high temp paint

Nice quad man lakota rock, well anyway like NEWDUCK said sand the pipe before painting it and no matter what you need to use a high temp paint or else when you ride for a long time and the pipe gets hot it will fall off, but i sure you already knew that.

if you let that paint stay on it for about a week or two it adheres and don't come off, or you could just bake it on like the can says

BTW, nice quads i like em, I'll have to put some up of mine for you guys sometime(no more football practice or after school activities but riding now)

.. Hey guys, check out the pics of the finished up Lakota. My pic page spaces 9 and 12. I stripped and repainted the racks- seemed to take forever and a day. And hey- the timming chain seems noisy- it diesn't sound bad or like anything is getting hurt, but you can hear it, is that normal? Thanks

Looks great. Good luck with it, lakota's are sweet quads so have some fun ripping around on it.

you may already know how to do this but you lakota looks like it could use some help take a propane torch to your front plastics and bend them up it makes it look much better.

.... Thanks-- I really like the green too. Hmm, no Duck- how do you bend the fenders up? I'm real happy with this quad- it's quiet and gentle, ya don't have to be on it 1000% all the time, and you can wind it out some when ya wanna get a little crazy...........
