Default No more prairie?

Pleae excuse me if this has been covered already, I only have a chance on the forums every few months. But what is this I hear of of Kawi killing of the prairie as we know it, and downsizing it to only 500cc, and only selling big bore BF's? Is this true? Is kawi really that retarded?

Yes, Kawi really is that retarded, and they are going to discontinue the most successful ATV in the history of Kawasaki ATVs. 2005 will be the last year of the Prairie 700, and supply will be quite limited for the last year.

What's the big deal. The Brute Force 650 is basically a prairie with a new name. It looks to me like they're changing the name more than anything else.

All Prairie's will be use the Brute Force brand and have the updated plastic starting in '06, the 700 will be dropped the 650 will be used at other brands 500cc price point, rumour's of the 750 being offered in both IRS and straight axle/swingarm set-up for '06 also.......

I've got an SRA and an IRS sitting in my garage right now. There is no way they are essentially the same. I'll take the SRA any day of the week for the way I ride. If it's only a name change and the SRA will be available with a BF name, no biggie. I really question their habit of changing engines every two years from a consumer standpoint tho'. They leave so much performance untapped in the previous engine. If they removed some restrictions they could introduce a more powerful bike every year, but save us some decent money on the buying end.

... The Team Green P700 was the best thing ever made, period! The right color, the right engine- everything. Then they go and deep six it. My only concern is that when they offer the BF with SRA- the colors will be all wrong.

If they offered a SRA 650 and 750, along with an IRS 750, that would be ok. I would still keep my Team Green Prairie 700 over a SRA 750 with Brute Force plastic on it though. The Team Green Prairie 700 has a reputation for winning races that the Brute Force has NOT earned yet. That, along with the fact that the Brute Force looks like a cross between the Batmobile and a Winnebago will keep me from switching from my Prairie.

I really like the looks of the 650 BF. It doesn't look anything like the 750 BF

The BF 650's have been on showrooms for over a month now, IMO they look pretty cool. All they need to do is add the 750 motor and I will be an owner. Its like stackk said its a prrarrie with new plastic and new name. The plastic does seem to be of better quality and lost the majority of the small black pieces that crack and break so easy .

As far as colors, they offer the same colors as the current prarie with the exception there is not a teem green, But then agan I think I herd that there is no longer a teem green Atv teem either so who knows if they will offer it in teem green later or not.
