Default Anyone tried the MBRP pipe for P650?

I'm just curious if anyone has tried the MBRP exh. pipe for the P650? If so, how do you like it?

I just called MBRP (website is www.mbrp.com) and they said that they offer a slip-on pipe only for the P650. Gain 2 to 4 hp with supposedly only 1 to 2 db louder than stock pipe. Weighs 4 to 6 lbs less than stock pipe. Cost for slip-on for P650 is $310 plus shipping ($25 shipping to Texas). They said its polished stainless steel construction and no repacking ever required (that's my favorite part!).

Happy trails...

I went to MBRP yesterday. There is glass inside and therefore if you completely submerge the pipe with the engine off the packing will be ruined. That is the impression that I got. On the other hand how often do you get the pipe submerged and turn the the bike off. Apparently Highlifter has done dyno testing on it. I just can't find it on the web site. Does the Napa hose replace the stock snorkle on the bike?

I like that the mbrp's are welded not riveted. As far as submerging a machine that is turned off, well, maybe the rivets pop out on other exhausts and help it float?!

Anyway, instead of ordering direct from mbrp, i found a retailer for them in texas called Craycroft Racing 817-441-5893, they are the best place i have found for cost on these exhausts. Im going to order one this week. ( i dont work for this company or mbrp, just passing along info)

Maybe you should do some research into the different types of pipes and how they drop the db levels, then you would have understood my comment!

For the application i am looking at, the MBRP is the quietest db wise of the limited options i have before me. 3-5 dbs more than stock is what i was told by mbrp.

I think that the MBRP is a good product, it just can't get wet otherwise it will become noticably louder. Finish is second to none

I'm now trying to compare the MBRP pipe to the FMF pipe b/c (I think) both of these pipes claim to never need repacking. How do you guys think these 2 pipes will compare regarding sound level (how quiet) and performance gains?
