my v is blowing out black smoke pretty bad.I was wandering if anyone has had this problem

 

check spark plugs. if only one plug looks sooty or fouled pull that carb off and check. main jets can vibrate out. if both plugs look bad might be weak ignition.

 

check your choke, to make sure it not sticking, has been a problem with Prairie's.

Also if your oil get overfilled, it will get forced up into your airbox and out the carbs. that's usually makes white smoke, check your air box for that.

My best guess is the choke.
