I may be way off base here but I really think nobody wants to build a race ready two stroke because they would have to compete against the aftermarket machines. These guys are running the trickest quads around. How is it going to look if Honda and Kawasaki release big time race bikes for you and me and then these same machines get smoked by lonestar, laeger, roll design, etc?

My Kawasaki green heart leapt in my chest when I opened the November Dirt Wheels to see a Ninja 500 motored quad that Kawasaki had built clad in Mojave plastics. I have often considered building a project around this potent powerplant and this seems much more likely to see production as a Raptor Killer than any 250 2-stroke. Along with it come the recent leak of a 650 twin 4x4 in the works-perhaps a non-factor no more. It appears Kawasaki might just be playing it's hand a little closer to the vest than other manufacturers have. Please produce this bike!

HOLY MACKERAL!!!!

A V-Twin, automatic with a locking front end, and an aluminum mono-shock swingarm suspension.

I believe that the bar has just been raised, your turn Polaris. (As the Grizzlies whimper in the corner begging for respect)

It appears that Kawasaki is a factor once again, with a new "monster" quad on the horizon.

I'm assuming that Kawasaki has probably intended to get new sport and utility quads to market far faster than they have, but may have had their design ideas used by other OEMs before they could market them. No one else has used the 4 stroke V-twin concept yet, so it hopefully will sell well for them before another OEM outdoes it. There is no point in spending all their R and D money on a product that will be out-classed within a few months. I am personally surprised at how many new utility models the other big manufacturers have produced lately. It must be extremely expensive to do this, when there isn't anything really new about them except for the Rubicon's transmission. When the original 400 Prairie came out in 1997, it was a powerful machine for its time, but still nothing really new. It didn't take long for the other OEMs to pass it in features. This time (if they have designed a good transmission and front differential) maybe it will be a step ahead for a little longer and make them some money.
