Default Stiffer front springs on 650 prairie?

I add a 5' snow plow to my 03 650 Prairie and it realy sets the front down when I raise the plow.
Is there a stronger front spring I can get for the front?

titusb.
I took a different approach.I fabbed in a add on leaf spring to take the extra weight. My concern was too much extra weight on the font springs over a period of time would prematurely wear them out.
One guy on the forum said that he takes one of those ratcheting tie downs and sinches the back rack to the trailer hitch.this i thought was a good idea as well.(one of those, why did i think of that!!!)
Here's a link to my original post:overloads for snow plow

I have only tried it a couple of times and it works good to boost the front. It's also easy to install on a day to day thing. I'm going to try the strap as well.M/M

Elka suspension According to the majority of members here, Elka are the best, progressive would be 2nd choice.

Elka springs will lower the front of a Prairie, and improve ride quality. I doubt that he wants to lower it even farther than it already is.

Elka springs improved my ride a lot, and as a side benefit, definitely improved my 5' plow squat distance.

outerlimit, sure it might lower, but it does have more aggressive, stronger springs at the bottom and he can preload them. Better than stock for any purpose I would think.

I have the same problem and I have been mulling over Elka Springs vers. Progressive Springs for the front. Seems like Elka are very well put together but progressive can be picked up for a better price. Both seem to be an effective alternative to stock springs.

yes but remember, the Elka are a dual rate spring with pre load adjustment. The progresive is simply a single rate spring with preload adjustment. You'll gain adjustability with both, but the Elka will be much stiffer when you get to the bottom. Of course I don't have them, but I've read alot of threads here about them and thats what everyone is saying. Of course its all up to what you need and have to spend. I'd guess if its just plowing and workhorse, the progressive with a good preload might do. But for those who sport ride and utility, the Elka's can't be beat.
Let us know what you decide man
