Ebay doesn't care, I reported so many fraudulent transactions to them and I got no satisfaction. A guy ripped me off selling a used piece o crap tent as new and they did absolutly nothing to him. It is definitely up to you to watch your own butt on E-bay. As far as these scam letters go, they use a "bot" program to sift through web pages looking for the words "4 sale" or similar and then it grabs the text information around this in a post and the scammer makes his email from this info. I get it all the time on allaboutmud.com there isn't any way to stop it as far as the website host goes. I posted a thing in my "rules and things" to look out for scams if you post stuff for sale on my website and what to look for. That's about all you can do.
