BF 750 Gas Mileage ?
#4
Depending on how hard you are riding it varies somewhat but is certainly not the most fuel efficient machine. I only have about 200 miles on it and have used about 4 tanks of gas so that would average out to about 10mpg. However if you are looking for fuel economy I might suggest EFI or perhaps reconsidering purchasing a big bore. I however dislike EFI and just prefer the power of the brutey and thus it doesn't matter how much it costs at the pump.

Best I have done with my BF is 64 miles on a full tank and worst is 36 when pushing about a foot of heavy snow in the hills. The unit now has 1400 miles and does not seem to get improved mileage. Top speed down hill on pavement measured with gps is 65mph and it takes a while to get there.

Gas mileage on the big bore quads is really poor. I have gotten about 15 mpg in eay going and less than ten in the slogging mode on my stock 650 Kawi, running big tires. Big tires are a high cost option, and not only for the extra gas that they cauise us to use. Thery wear out belts and bearings pretty fast too. I always carry and extra two gallons of gas on the rear carrier. I really don't think that there is much that we can do about the gas mileage, and anyways its not a problem, because I never get to ride more than thirty miles a day anyways. If I wanted to save money, the very last thing I would do is own a quad. Sheesh! Everything that you need for them costs two arms and two legs.

Yea the big bores are not fuel efficient. I have the brute 650 best I ever got was 17.5 and that was during break-in using a mixture of 4 wheel drive and high and low range but no real hard terrain just sort of driving. Now it is broke in with 26" big horns depending on terrain and things anywhere from 12-14 at best, they love that fuel.
