BF or KQ?

JEFFRO31- The original post is the first post on this topic that I created that you read and "expanded on" if you could call it that. Again, I didn't put myself out as an expert, I just own both so I can readily compare both. You said yourself that "it takes more time to learn a BF", so in effect, you're conceding the whole argument. Please understand that I'm not trying to bash the BF, it's my favorite too. I'm just saying that the BF's IRS isn't as good as the KQ's. You're in the minority if you believe it is. All the atv publications agree with me. I would venture to say that MOST people in here agree with me also. I bet if we polled just BF owners they would agree also, if they had a chance to compare both.

Do you think it's possible to mod the KQ to give it more power...maybe comparable to the BF? Also, since you like the BF better will you now be selling the KQ?

I am pumped for a BF in march but, would have to think long and hard if they could make that KQ match the low end power of the BF , the V's just pump out sooo much torque. I will sacrafice some ride for the power of the BF.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

That brings me to my second question. Everyone LOVEs the V twin so why did Suzuki go with the other way? What advantages if any does the single have over the V...maybe gas milage? Will all brands go to the V and is it just a matter of time?

Awe what the heck, I'll chime in. I have NOT ridden both, but I have heard good things about the Zookie.
I do have a BF with 26" C rims and 589's and I am thrilled with it's performance. Sure, there were a few bugs to work out, but thats minor compaired to the machines strengths. Here is my comparison summary:
- The Zook prolly rides nicer since the BF is pretty stiff and doesn't "give" much.
- Both engines are strong as bulls, but a twin is a twin and therefore it is [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
- Features overal are comparable, I personally would prefer EFI so the Zook has an edge in cold weather here.
- The Kawi braking system for the rear rocks...period.
- Price differences are negligible.
So then...just get the one that you thinks looks the best.... the point here is that neither will disappoint [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

Thanks everyone. I would love a BF but it is the lack of EFI that make me lean toward the KQ. Living in Alaska makes this function something that's real nice to have. I would love to wait until 06 to see what comes out or the improvement of these two quads but I need another ATV this Summer.
