Default Black ITP C-Series - Have anyone's chipped???

I really like the new black C-Series Type 4 rims, and I've seen several pictures with them mounted on some of your machines. A tire dealer mentioned that their just powder coated, so if they chip, the chips will be silver/aluminum in color and they may not look good down the road.

Is anyone that owns them having any issues with the finish or are they holding up well?

Thanks,
QuadZ

I've had mine for two years now and there is a few little nicks on the very edge of the rims from rocks. They are soo small you have to get up close to see them. In my opinion the powder coat is very durable. The black finish is fairly thick so it takes a good scratch to even penetrate through to the aluminum. As far as chipping goes mine don't have any, they should'nt chip. I would think ITP would stand behind their wheels if the powder coating comes off that easy! Hope this helps you decide.

Yes, thanks -- that's exactly what I wanted to hear. Another dealer told me the powder coating was so thick, they actually weighed a little more the the regular C-Series Type 4. I think the tire dealer that made the original comment was pushing me towards the Type 5 rims.
