Default p360 problem

my dealers mechanic says i "might" need a new clutch. the problem is sometimes , not all the time, but quite a lot, when i try stopping it wants to not disengage but keep on going..when putting on the brake. it will just drag the motor down and make it go dead instead of going to nutreul. then when trying to start in gear with left brake lever pulled it stays in gear and wont start unless shifting to netruel..it is a real pain when trying to stop it keeps clugging along and goes dead.. any thoughts on this?? do i need a new clutch??

Default p360 problem

I have the same problem I'm working on to fix now, infact I have had it for some time now.. The problem with mine is one of the weights gets jamed on the spider roller & doesn't allow the primary clutch to fully disengage. I fixed this previously by replacing all the weights & pins, ran great for probably another several hundred miles & then started doing it again.. It would appear at this point to have another problem, but am still dealing with the same old problem of the weight getting hung up on the roller.. I belive at this point to completely fix the problem I need to replace the buttons, spider & possibly weights & pins again, but if they have to be all purchased seperatly it's going to be expensive, buttons are $9 a piece (need 8) spider is $80, weights & pins are around $120, these are all mostly estimates as I remember them, buy any way you look at it it's going to be pricey. I'm heading down to the dealer later today to try I figure it all out, in the mean time look at your rollers on the spider (where the weight rolls up & down) see if they have small groves in them, I think your dealer is half right in saying that you need a new clutch but that is probably around $500 & probably more then you need to spend

Default p360 problem

Does anyone know why the P360 has more clutch component wear related problems than the P650/700?
My local dealer see's the same thing; excess wear to all moving parts in the primary. Could it be from higher vibration levels related to the single cylinder engine?

That's the same damn question I would like answered.. I have replaced the clutch plate, weights pins and now after talking with my dealer & a guy who is very knowledgeable with clutches will probably have to buy a new clutch now because the buttons, spider, weights, pins, movable sheeve, bushings are all worn now & to replace all them it would be aprox $350-$400 in parts, but he can hook me up with a brand new clutch for $450. This really pisses me off, I belive all the componets of the clutch are the same at the 650/700 so it might have to do with vibration, but I cant really say mine is horrible in the vibration department, but it's not as smooth at the 650 either, dont make sense to me. Is there any aftermarket clutches out there that are better??
