My friend is a mechanic at a dealer, he says he is constantly replacing axles, cv joints etc with machines that run the trax on them. I think people just leave them on too much and use them too hard.

I seen a small review on terrain traks in dirt wheels, and they said that they give alot smoother ride then paddles. Maybe they won't be as hard on the drive line.

I think there might still be some confusion here. we are talking about a brand of tires and not the tank tracks. I had the feeling some of the responces are thinking of the tank tracks kits and not tires???????????

If you need something more durable than regular Scat Trak vulcanized paddles, you'll give up some sand performance, as seems like nothing can match the performance of a vulcanized paddle in the sand, but you could try the molded Paddlemasters, or even the Geko's, which IMO, are quite a bit worse than the Paddlemasters... I have several sets of the Paddlemasters, & they are also recommended for mud, snow, etc... they are available in both 22" O.D. & 25" O.D.

I hear paddle masters are durable, but are also on the heavy side.

zquad...

I'm also very interested in the terrain tracks "tires, not tank tracks lol" for my V force but have not been able to find any in a larger size than 20 inch. Have you seen them in a larger size? If so, where? I would love a larger size tire that has good hookup in sand and is also durable enough for the rough stuff.
