Anyone knw of away to get a praire or brute to go engage 4x4 while in reverse The 05's won't engage where the 04's and older would. Is there a wire you can snip? Tried a dyna cdi but made no difference.

 

I have an 05 700P and have the same problem. I use mine on a farm and found it out the hard way too. Dealers tell me to use forethought...."put in 4x4 before the need". They say it requires several parts to algin before it will engage, and to try moving the handlebars left to right back and forth a couple of times. I've found this fruitless, I just put ot 4x4 if theres a question of doubt if I'll have to back up in need.
