i won a sled and im thinking of trading it for a 700 prerie
hi everyone.
i won a 2005 arctic cat m7 snowmobileon saterday and i was thinking about tradeing it in on a quad.
but when i went to pick it up he said it was too late in the season to try and sell it now so he dident want to take it on a trade.
then thismorning my phone rings and it the dealer and he says the owner of the buisness is willing to trade his 2004 700 kawasaki for it strait across.
he said it has 200 miles on it and it also has 28" mud zillas a 2500lb warn winch a lift kit and hand gaurds.
what do u think is it worth it.
also how are the kawasakis belts do they get wet when you ride in alot of water or do you need to submerge it to get it wet.
any help with this would be greatly appreashated.
thanks ken.

Check www.kbb.com, or www.nada.com, and look up the book value of a used 2004 Prairie 700 vs a new 2005 M7, and you do the math. Sounds to me like you are being taken to the cleaners. I would just sell that M7 yourself on ebay, and then buy the Prarie 700 if you want it, otherwise you are going to pad the dealers pocket with a couple thousand dollars.

I'd sell that sled privately and go buy a brand new Brute Force. You'd still have lots of money left for tires, rims, cargo boxes and a winch. You'd still have enough left to fill it with gas and go for a ride!! That sled is worth around $11,500 in Canada.

If I were to get rid of a new sled I certainly wouldnt do it for a used 4 wheeler. At least get a new 4 wheeler. Not to mention he probably put those 28 inch mudzillas on for a reason. I dont know that I would want those heavy 28 inchers on before the the engine has really had time to break in. You will love the Prairie, but I would sell outright and buy a new one.

well i took the prarie.
it was bought on sept 30th 2004
it has 500 miles on it and the guy who owned it was the owner of the dealer.
it has a 1 1/2" lift kit, mud zilla tires 28 x 12 x 12s on the back and 28 x 10 x 12s on the front.
it also has a full skid plate from front to back.
hand and thumb warmer.
bush bumper and 2500lb winch.
and two years and eight months warenty left on it.
i took my son down to look at it and its in great shape and he tryed it and said its not a sports quad but it would do just fine.
i looked at it this way i payed ten bucks for a ticket and if i could get someone to pay ten grand for it i still couldent get the 450r or the 750 v froce without putting out extra cash.
AND I DONT HAVE ANY EXTRA CASH.
the 04 kawi sold for ten five then the tires winch and all the rest of the stuff would have put it up around twelve grand befor taxes.
so i dont think i made out that bad.
and besides in 3 years i will still get $6000 dollers for the quad and the sled will be worth about the same or less so it not realy that bad.
i think i did ok.
and my kids (both) think its pretty cool.
