Default Warn 3.0ci or Warn 3.0ce?

What's the difference? Supposedly the 3.0ce is a "mechanical brake". . .anybody know anything about this. What is it good for. I was happy with the freespooler. If I needed a brake I just took it out of freespool mode and the cable was there to stay. This mechanical brake is news to me. I will be buying one of the two in the near future and I don't know which to get.

Also, is it true the 3.0 is waterproof? I know the older models were supposed to be kept dry. . .at least my old A2000 was.

Thanks in advance.

I have the 3.0, they state it's totally waterproof and mine has kept up in many many water/slop holes. My buddies 2.5 gets mud and water in it and the super winches do too.

I would presume that the brake is for people who use their winches as tow ropes, yanking other quads out in reverse. I know your NOT suppose to do this with my 3000. It will overload the gears it says and to be stationary when winching.

The brake might be a good thing if regular winching does not work and you want to yank another quad out. That would be my take on it but could be wrong. Thanks for telling us they make a new one, I'll have to go look on their web site.
