I'm fiding on taking an extended tripwith my quads, the Lakota and Mojave. Thing is, to fit both of them in the truck- shortbe, gonna hafta stand'em up. For and extended 19hrs, will the oil leak out the crankcase vent at the rear? Thanks

 

All the owners book says is that gasoline may leak out causing a fire hazard.

I went ahead and drained the oil outta the Lakota and stood it up. I've been wanting to change the oil in the 'kota fer awhile anyways. I'll let y'all know how the trip goes.

 

Well folks- I made it. The whole 1,300mi jaunt/ everything stayed in place and went well. I had drained the oil outta the crankcase in the Lakota and stood it up for the run, also took the battery out so it would spill out all over. Got here and unloaded everything and oiled up the 'kota and went for a ride. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
