I want my V-Force to hit 100 plus. I know it has alot more *** than what I'm getting out of it. I have White Bros. Dual Exhaust and it's been jetted, But I want to know if anyone has added Nitrous to one and what the results were. Also, I want more information on Programmable Ignitions. What kind of performance can I get out of one??? If I have to have the motor tore down and bored I will, I just want options before I do it...

The V has enough power to pull the kind of MPH your asking for, but the truth of the matter is, once the belt travels to the top of the clutch, thats it! You may put a cdi, Nitrous, and big bore kit on it but still wont even be close to pulling those numbers. The only way is to convert to a chain drive system to manipulate the gearing . Skat Trak is making one, but at a price of 5 grand, speed will come at a hefty cost.

VT... that is one way to up the gearing, but not "the only way", or anywhere close to the most cost effective way... I'll be doing some top speed runs this summer on my Prairie... I'll be using some custom ultra light weight drag wheels, & a set of also ultra light 29" X 4.5" X 15" Micky Thompson drag tires... there are way more tire options to raise the over all gear ratio on the V Forces, than there are for the Prairies ( even a set of stock Prairie wheels & tires will raise the gear ratio a ton )...
Also clutch machining, can gain you 3-10 mph in top speed...
even though the "V" motors are very powerfull... IMO, you'll not reach 100 mph without internal mods, & nitrous...

I agree that you can gain some mph by machining the clutch and running larger tires, but I still believe the only way to get 100+ mph like he was asking is to convert to a chain drive. I would be interested to see what kind of mph you can pull with your setup. Please post your results.

Alltoys is going for the 100mph mark as well. with sled clutching, NOS and who knows what else he has up his sleave. He has proven time and again there is no limit to what can be done with these quads.
The others are right though, you are limited through your cams and clutch. You could have 200hp but once the belt reaches the very top of the sheaves its done, no how, now way, will it go any faster. You would need to fashion a whole new clutch setup or change the final gearing (like with taller wheel/tire combo).

Newbeatle,
Do you have the four stroke tech 750 kit? What size pistons did you go with? I talked to Mickey Dunlap today and he now offers a 900 cc kit. How has your reliability been? I am so tempted to go all out with the 900 kit!! What clutch, carb, and jetting changes have you made? What is your top speed now?

ED... MICKY might not like me saying this... but I'm not sure I'd go any bigger than I did on the sleeved motors... & If I was going to do it over, I'd see if the Brute jugs were compatable, or if they could "Nic-A-Sil" line the my jugs, or the new Brute jugs... the motor is VERY radical... mine easily beats some of the 765's & bigger motors, but IMO, the sleeve fit seems to be a problem for lots of the BBK's... I think the Nic-A-sil lining will offer much improved reliability...I think MICKY puts together good kits, & the individual components were all 1st rate, but I'd also look into Mike Pendlands BBK's, & DYNORAY's Kits & Tuning, call, & talk to each, & ask around on all the forums, before commiting to any one supplier
In fact, mine is now used for competition only, as it is just too dangerous for recreational use, my clutches are machined, I had my heads flowed before reassembly...I have my own induction system... It easily out drives the suspension & brakes... I've seen 81 mph on the speedo, but am shooting for breaking the 80 mph 1/4 mile at the drag strip this summer, & with the addition of the 29" Micky Thompsons, may break 90 -95 mph this summer in top speed... for the Prairies, weight & the wind resistance becomes a big factor at speed... my plastic has been trimmed 6" narrower overall, & for top speed runs, everything will be stripped, & the quad will be lowered as much as possible, while still allowing room for the 29" rear tires

$5K seems a little pricey for the only benefits of lighter weight and the ability to change gears/sprockets easily. For less than $5K, I would think you are better off to buy a larger cc street bike motor/transmission and then trying to stuff it into the quad. I know you will still need the chain drive system to do this, but I'm guessing you could simply try to use the swingarm/rear axle assembly from some other sport quad (with some fabrication of course). Its just a thought.
Happy trails...
