700 prairie cams
#1
I'm thinking of getting some cams for my wheeler. I want to know what kind of power gain should I expect from stage 1 hot cams and is it worth the money. I have several bolt on hop-ups but I am concerned about getting into the motor due to duribility. You can never have to much POWER!!!!!

Marginal increase. Cams are good they will accent other modds you will do. If you do cams then have the heads ported as well to get full advantage of the cams. Radical cams will not do you any good till you go with a big bore so Hot cams or Web's will work well with stock set up. Also get the cams for a V-Force they are 10* retarded which will work well for your Prairie if that is the wheeler they are going into. If you can have them degree'd them set them for 105* front and back.

I have checked into hotcams. From what I can tell the stage 1 V-force and prairie cams are the same down to part number. If they are the same why would I need V-force cams? By marginal do you mean 3-5 or around 7-10hp gain? What could I expect to gain from cams and a port job? Thanks for the help and knowledge!

V-Force and Prairie cams are the same only in duration not timing, V-Force cams are 10* retarded and are not the same part number as the Prairie cams. Cams alone may give you 2 hp, mix in porting 10 HP or slightly higher HP numbers will occur. Cams need to breath porting goes hand in hand with cams. If you get longer durtation cams with V-Force timing this will give you more HP but cams alone will not make that much power as they will starve.
