Brute Force 750 / EPI or Dalton

Dalton orange/blue or EPI red, which one do I get if I like to drag race half the time and trail ride the other half. This is with stock tires, full exhaust, and a DG5. Please help.....

consider epi maroon or dalton blue. The brute has good punch at low end with the DG and exhaust. Get the org/blu and the maroon, then you can use based on what yah like. If something happens and you dont like it, then you can usually sell them easily.

I haveused both on my Prairie 650. The red has a higher stall but lower shiftout than the Dalton & a little tricky on trails/hills but manageable. Problem will be keeping front end down on your brute with the red. The Red is hard to beat in a Drag race. Power comes on BRUTAL
The Dalton O/B has more snap than stock, more stall than stock (Barely feel the stall more of a snap), with less stall than the EPI Red . The EPI Redhas more of a YANK and prower delivery is a little more gradual on the Dalton.
Bike with Dalton O/B has a tendency to carry the wheels in the grass/asphalt and gives you more time to let go of throttle instead of doing a 180* Flip at wide open launch. The red spring is controllable just gotta learn to manipulate the throttle lever & never more than 3/4 throttle launch. Low Gear has SCARY torque/power with Red spring & will roost at throttle snap.

Kind of hard to say and it will depend on the torque curve of your motor. Since Springs are only around $20 get them both & test. On my quad seemed like the Red was quicker in 300 ft since it reved to the powerband of my engine before engaging. It would get you there quicker IF you didn't FLIP IT or have the Cahoonas Big enough to launch & ride the wheelie out past the 90 degree mark. Only takes about 15 minutes to swap out springs. You then would have a good spring in case you wanted to run larger mudders.

The clutch companies are proud of their weights & you pay dearly. The springs are only $18-20 from rittercycle & usually shipped to door in 5 days.
http://www.rittercycle.com plus Rick can give you another opinion on what he has seen that works good.
The Weights suppose to help you fine tune your RPMs/clutch
