Default Does Suzuki or Kawasaki Make the V-Twin

There's a guy I ride with that knows it all. He says Suzuki makes the v-twin for Kawi and Arctic Cat. He's wrong isn't he? If he is, how can I prove it.

I'm gettin steamed, Alice.

On my Prairie 650 it says Kawasaki Industries Japan.
Kawie also makes the Z400 Suzuki engine and 400 Artic cat sport engine.
Kawie is the largest small engine builder in the world. John Deer/ Cut Cadet/etc.
Look up Suzuki on web, it should tell who builds their engine for the Twin Peaks.

Suzuki makes the Z400/KFX400/DVX400 Engine, not Kawasaki.

V-twin - Kawi made
AC H1 - Arctic cat's own engine
King quad 700 - zuki's own engine

the rest of AC's engines come from zuki. John Deere's atvs are made by Bomb, but the lawn implements and tractors are a different story.

the 400cc sport powerplant is derived from the DRZ400 suzuki dual sport bike, and is a zuki engine.

No, no..............the AC V2,(I know, I put H2) its Kawy made. The H1 is the single cylinder AC made engine
And were talking the Twin Peaks, not the King Quad. The TP is Kawy's 700.

Like I said, vtwin is kawi made, H1 is AC made...

I added the KQ in for more reference.

And the TP is kawi's engine, not thier bike. The prairie and bf is their bike with the v-twin

Looked up Suzuki and Arctic Cat on the web for engine mfr. Suzuki had a good site, but no mention of Kawasaki (I thought I was looking at my bike painted yellow on their V-Twin 700 page). I couldn't tell what AC was doing with their web pages.

This guy will not take anybody's word for anything. Have to have proof that Kawi makes their v-twin. Any ideas......I could go to Suzuki dealer and see if it says Kawasaki on the engine.

ATV Buddy: I missed what you meant by 'the Prairie and the BF is their bike with the v-twin'.

How about the fact that the v-twin was originally in the Prairie 650 back in 02, and that the exact same engine was used in the first and all subsequent AC 650 models. Would he actually think that Zuki would create a smaller version of this engine and let kawi use it for 2 years before they put an upgraded version in one of their own quads when Zuki didnt have any utility quad bigger than 500cc's at the time or until 04? How about letting Kawi release the old 633cc version in another of thier new machines, the BF 650? All it takes is a little common sense, I'm sure he'll be able to figure it out eventually.
