You would probably be satisfied with either one. I had the same choice as you a couple of months ago and took the '05 P700 Team Green mainly for one reason...... Kawasaki has had 6 chances to get it right, starting with the '02 P650 A1, then A2, then '03, '04, '05 and '05 BF650.

I'm very satisfied with the choice I made because it is fun to ride, has built-in reliability and the color, which I did not care about to start with, is really growing on me.

Rode it in a St Patrick's day parade and all eyes were on it....I don't know why

I know color is not part of your topic. Wasn't important to me either, but glad now. If you can find an '04 P700 at a good price, it's the same as an '05 as far as I can tell, and I would ****** it up if I were you.

Happy hunting....ride them both, then get an '04 or '05 P700, and break it in hard!

i sorry to here that kawi only gives 6 months warrenty in the usa.
here in BC Canada they come with a three year warrenty.
i know this because mine has it and my buddy is looking at buying an 05 700p and that is the reason hes looking at them.
he says they are the only ones that offer that kind of warrenty.
he also said the arctic cat has a two year warrenty.
but he has an 04 650 and he wants somthing differant so he can have a choice of what to ride when his wife or kids not going out with him.
i told him once he gets the 700 he wont want to ride his cat any more.

P700 or even the Twin peaks if the price is better, they are twins of each other just different dealers and colors. The Brute 650 is also a good choice since its a Prairie with new name and new plastic. You loose a few cc's but gain better plastic pus save 500.00 bucks. I recently had a buddy trade his brute 750 in for a brute 650 and loves it. As far as fun to ride IMO you can't beat the P700/Tpeaks/ BF650 they are by far the most fun to ride that I have ever road or owned. Look at this way if you like to powerslide around corners and do doughnuts, you are going to have a hard time doing that sort of thing on a IRS equiped quad of any brand. If fun is what your looking for and I know its what I am, then the SRA chassis quads from Kawi are what you need.

I was thinking the same question myself, until i went out with a few of my buds recently on some killer bush trails we are making.I found without a doubt that the bikes with the independent rear suspension are at a great disadvantage when trying to climb steep hills or attepting to side hill.I ride a 04/650 cat and love the ride, you cant beat it for comfort but if killer trails are your thing get the p700,i'm looking at one now

I bought a Brute force camo and have had it for about 5 months now. I love this machine! It has it all. It is very fast, handles well with ATR's on, and can go through anything. I have ridden a p650 once and it was an excellent machine aswell. I wanted the IRS and good gound clearence for the kind of ridding I do. I dont think you could go wrong with either one. The brute does not have alot of after market stuff out yet, so if you like to "improve" your ATV and dont want to wait, then go with the P700.

I own a 2004 Prairie 700 and love it. The main difference between the two quads is the rear suspension. The 700 does get hung up in deep mud w/ the solid rear, once in a while. It also handles like a sport quad so you get the best of both worlds. I hit 63mph w/ my P-700 and it's totally stock. It also goes through the snow like an animal. I've never ridden a BF 750 but I hear they are tuff to handle. Good luck!
