Bighorns on Prairie
We have a couple of sets of bighorns 1 byas ply and one radial both seem to work just fine. You can see pics of them on my pic page. They are heavy but so are most of the heavyduty aftermarket tires. That being said just be aware the heavier the tire the more power will be compromised.

I heard about some people having steering problems with the bighorns on their Prairie. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem?
There was a bad batch of Big Horns out there about a year ago that wobbled a bit. Maxxis offered replacements to anyone having this problem I beleave. I guess someone could relate that as a steering problem because at certain speeds there would be a slight front end shake. Ive run a few sets of Big Horns and really like the tires. For rough terrain you cant beat the Big Horns! Because they are heavy I run the Lighter bias ply up front with the radials in that rear, Seems to be the perfect setup for me. I've got the radials on my bike, check my pics.
They are wonderful. I've got MORE front end shake from running 10 pounds of air vs. the "problem" LOL
great tires, no flats yet, no stucks that I didnt truly ask for either.
Worth every penny I'd say.
Mind you I've only had one brand of aftermarket tire, but I'd get another set for sure.
Heavy? pfft, My bike is still fast enough to seriously mangle me it has enough torque to get thru almost anything.
With heavy comes the security of sidewall protection and resistance to flats.
If you're worried about an extra ten pounds lose wieght
