Need help with reverse on a Mojave 250

HELP!
I picked up a 95 Mojave 250 quad the other day. It ran fine, until earlier today. I drove it fine, and when I went to go out again, once I clicked it into 1st gear, I was in reverse somehow....
I can't get out of reverse.......and don't even know how it shifted in. How do you engage and disengage reverse? DOes it have to do with the button on the clutch lever? I can't figure this out....HELP!

Ok,
Found out my reverse switch is missing. What does it connect to on the other end of the cable?

Get an owners manual first if you don't have one. Then you'll probably have to open the little reverse side cover, clean and lube internal parts with marine grease and hook up the cable/twist ****.
I will probably work great then.
