the clamp came off my boot on the cv joint on the rear axle of my 05 BF. is there a special grease that needs to go in there or will regular multi-purpose grease work?

 

i would use some water proof grease. Like some good lithium based grease. I use protec grease, its fairly cheap and can't be beat as far as performance goes. www.proteclubricants.com Check out the industrial section. They are based here in Memphis, and are really nice guys. That is what i'd reccomend for using in a quad, that stuff aint gonna wash out of the boot if water ever gets in it.
