I was wondering if what i heard is true if the rims on the 700 kawi are alluminum if they are can you sandblast them if so what do they look like can you get a good looking shine on them

I have seen pictures of a guys stock prairie rims that he used paint thinner and mothers aluminum polish to shine them up but do not know about sandblasting to get that shine.

use air craft paint stripper and clean them up really good then polish them really well with some mothers. Do not sandblast them because it will leave pits in the wheels.

I haven't heard of anyone doing the racks that way. But that is not saying it could not be done. I personally am goin with powdercoating on my racks.

Just wanted to post a quick reply to Sog, I had my racks, floorboards, and front bumper powdercoated for $40 so it did not cost much to go that route.
