The cause of my problems!!!
#1
So my quad started today like it was brand new, I thought my problems were solved with the dielectric grease and new ignition coils. I get to some water, as soon as I hit it the quad stumbles for a split second. Didn't think much of it, started playing in the water more. No problems for about 5 minutes then the rear cylinder went down. Tried my stock CDI again, same thing. There was this wire getting wet so I moved it, still didn't help.
Took off the seat and start looking at the cylinders and carbs, looking for anything not right. What do you think I seen? I spy with my little eye the rear boot from the carb to the cylinder sliced!!!!! Now its starting to make sense. The reason I noticed it is because I heard a air sucking sound.
Rear cylinder doesn't run after hitting water and the rear boot is cut from the clamp. What do you think? This is my problem?
I also think my rear carbs are pretty dirty, the rear carb wouldn't drain, the front one did though. Some crap came out of it. I was going to clean my carbs tonight until I seen this rear carb boot screwed up. Washed the airbox and I'm going to put it back together and let the dealer look at it.
Noticed some oil coming through the top of the rear cylinder, I think with the rear carb boot cut it may of let debris in or maybe water? I think when I'm playing in the water the rear cylinder sucks in steam and makes it run like crap.
This is my theory, anyone have another one? Does it sound right? The dealer better cover this or I'll be pissed!!!

I cleaned out my carbs the other day and put some new plugs and shes been running great. I even played on some water and muck and she hasnt missed a beat yet. I will take a look at my carb boots tommorow though. I am pretty sure that is your problem though. Either way its gotta get fixed so you'll know soon enough.

While traveling from dealership to dealership trying to get my BF fixed, several service managers ask me if the carb. boots were torn. I told them I did not check. Sounded to me that this may have happened to other quad owners. Good Luck!!!

The dealer is going to patch it up so I can ride tomorrow and this weekend!! So I'll be there, lets hope the patch holds. He told me to watch if I use any oil. The boot should be here friday but I won't be here, so it will get fixed properly next week. Lets hope my luck is good this weekend!
