Default KFX 400 oil leak

Anyone else have an oil leak in that little black box that the hot oil drains into?

There's a hose running off the head that goes to a small black box where oil runs into. I guess it's a PCV type thing or something. But I've been chasing this oil leak and finally I took it back the dealer since it's only got like 10 hours on it. They found that box leaking and sure enough it is.

They had to order the part so I took it home and siliconed the bottom seem of the box. It was ok until the oil got hot enough and just chewed the silicone away. But all I had in the house way clear all purpose Motocraft silicone. If I get some black-RTV I think it will work until the stupid new box comes in.

Just thought I'd give anyone who might be smelling oil leaking onto the exhaust a heads up.

No leak on mine...do you have skidplates? Maybe you caught a rock or something into the dry sump tank?

No it's not leaking from the oil tank, it's leaking from that small black box that side on the RH side just under the plastic. I guess it's a Positive Crankcase Vent type thing. I'm not sure why they use it other than that.

But if you look just below your plastic on the RH side, mounted to the frame rail on top you'll see it. It sits right above the exhaust.
