Default Prairie 4wd problem

I cant get my 04 P700 to go into 4wd, I cant even get it to try to engage. When I flip the 4wd switch, nothing happens. No noises, no indicators, nothing flashes, display doesnt change, nothing. I didnt find any loose connections or bad fuses (though I dont believe there is a fuse for it). The bike has been at my father's ranch and he completely ignores any heeding of proper use. 4wd is engaged at speed under power and disengaged in the same manner at speeds sometimes exceeding 20mph. L is moved into H at any speed he feels necessary. Its been buried to the frame or to the racks a handful of times, the latest being the last time the 4wd worked.

With all the actuator talk and them being weak I've thought perhaps that was the problem. I'm not sure what I'm looking for so any help would be appreciated.

Had that happen to a friend. Their is a fuse for it although I don't recall which one. Also the connectors that touch the fuse while it is in place need to be squeezed closer to one another on some bikes, I don't know why but on some bikes there is to large of a gap and the blades on the fuse don't fill it up and therefor will cause a bad connection. Check all your fuses and make sure when you pull them out and push them back in that there is a good snug fit with no play.
