Default More Q's about lakota jet kit

Brian,
Sorry, I just got saw your reply. Sounds like you've got it on now. Yes, twisting the pipes is the only way to finally get it to line up right.

The elevation here is around 830'. I know what they recommeded for jetting, but it's not right. At least not for mine. Back a few years ago when we started modding Lakota's the guys on here at the time ran into similar issues. The jetting is just too fat. My Lakota runs good. You would tell it's not jetted right, except for the plug fouling and the black soot in the pipe. I know I can get a little more out of it due to that, just been to lazy to mess with it.

Bob, The lakota ran out great thru all gears & is much more responsive-I was actually expecting it to run crappy.
I never even thought to look at the plug, I was involved in a minor police chase & forgot about it. I had a weird feeling about where these guys I was w/ were taking me- It turned out it was someone's property & they called it was a big mess; Just got home from getting the lakota out of impound(175.00), & w/ a fine of 525.00 + court costs, well let's say I'm layin' low.
Where I have been riding is too close, I think("No, dude, it's cool, I ride thru here all the time") to trouble, but it's so close to where I live(Inner City Baltimore)- Well I gotta find a new spot, probably many many miles away, but what I save in fines'll pay for the gas. I'll be in touch, Thanks for the tips

Oh, man sorry to hear that. That's a day ruiner for sure. Hang in there!

BTW, if you haven't put on a 13 tooth countershaft sprocket, you need to do so. You'll really like that, too.
