1200 for the lakota
400 for all the parts and free labor
about 280 for my pipe
that adds up to 1880. I dont know about you but ive never seen a 400ex that low in price.
free labor?! what kind of business you runnin out there?
he did it himself..........i paid 1800 for my kota......and about a 950 with labor including splitting the case and replacing the rod an berring so that 950 is including all the stuff in my sig plus alot more and some other little odds and ends so id say 3000 total spent for mods plus the lakota itslef and my lakota is an 02 and i would never be able to find an 02 or newer ex for that price and plus i need reverse so i would need to get a z/kfx/cat whcih would cost much more then a ex so i prefer modding the lakota....it works for what i need it for

lol no I didnt go .55 over I went from 76mm to a 83mm bore. I got the carb for 70 bucks and it was in brand new condition.

The onlt 2 Warriors I ever saw out on the trails looked more like sport bikes(IE-no racks)- Were there certain years where they had racks? Isn't that why you go w/ the Utility bike?

brianmud....their are 2 types of lakotas, a lakota(it has racks and is more geared toweards utility) and a lakota sport which has no racks and is in the sport catagory. as far as newducks big bore kit they only run between 300 and 360 for a kit and al of you are making it sound like they cost much more then 400 bucks. freerider do you really think that a .55 over piston kit cost 400 bucks?

I thought that the carb cost in the 200 range so 200 in motor work isnt that much

I live right on the lake (superior) and ride iron river trails mostly(and some sand pits). They have lots of fun fast trails with lots of curves. Very fun riding, a long way from madison though.
BTW nice mojave you have there

most carbs would cost that or more especially for a kit with the throttle cable and everything but brand new i got mine for 135 from cycleworksracing who also built my engine and it came with an adaptor for the stock air box, their a real good company and i think that the carb was a pritty good deal and it should give me a 2hp gain and some mid to top end power(i was susuposed to get it lastweek but the shipping was delayed so it wont be here till tommarow) so it seems way worth the money.

thanks for kinda changin the topic up a bit it wasnt going any where like you said and kinda turned into a big argument......i like the new pics btw

Holeshotz- I was talking 'bout the Warrior(as far as racks go), not the Lakota. I've got the last('00)year w/ racks. What I was wondering was if the Yammie ever came w/ 'em? Like I said I've seen a couple out riding & they looked more like sport units, no racks. Oh, also- the warrior turned into the 350 raptor a couple years back, right? What changed? The 350 raptor looks sporty to me.
