BF stalling
#1
I have about 80 miles on the BF and have a small complaint.
I had her down in a mud whole, stuck of course, and everytime after I seem to "give er hell" and left of the gas, the idle drops very low and sometimes quits running.
Trying to start it gets to be a pain, I have to pump the throttle as I start it to get it to start.
Sometimes I have to pump the throttle to get it to start anyway, or it takes several cranks to get it started.
Anyone had this issue?

I have had a similar issue with my KVF 650. I am not sure what it could be. It seems to happen occasionally. I usually check the air filter and make sure it is clean and oiled and make sure that my idle is not set too low. Might need to ask others about adjusting carbs.
Not sure if that helps at all, but at least you are not alone!

i have to turn mine over for a bit also to get it to start plus i have to give it a bit of throttle.
and what bugs me the most is it sounds like an old dodge when its turning over.
i know its the reduction starter that makes it sound like that.
but it bugs me just the same.
as for your stalling try turning up the throttle a bit.
my book says the idle should be set at 1100 +- 50 rpms.
and i think a bit of tuning will help make it start easyer.
its probly just a carb ajustment.
im takeing mine into the dealers on friday and there going to fix mine under warrenty.
thats the one good thing about my 700 is it has a three year full warrenty.
and they will do anything on it under warrenty.

I have adjusted the idle a little.
When I first broke it in, I turned the idle down, because the tranny would make a loud clunk when shifting into gear. I thought the idle was too high, so I turned it down, I'll try turning it back up.
Another thing I noticed, is my left leg (where the exhaust pipe runs) gets pretty warm.
I would take mine into the dealer, but the dealer I bought it from is 3 hours from here, and I really dont trust the woman here locally, especially cause I didnt buy it here.
