My local dealer, Matthews Fun Machines, in Matthews NC told me I have to take my 2001 Prairie 300 to the original selling dealer (200 miles from my current home) to get the parts. I guess he doesn't want my business.

He better be careful. National recalls are to be handled by any dealer. Give Kawi a call, I'm sure they'll straighten this chump out quickly.
Imagine trying that with a chevy/ford dealer on a potentially dangerous component failure!
What a nit.

Yeah, the deadbeats at Norris just gave me a call.
I drop it off in two days for the job. About frigging time.

Offrider, got your PM. (pm sent)
Thanks, called and talked to Chad, I think his name was, in service.

Wish to hell I'd talked with him last week, says he's had parts for a week or so. Norris said....well depending on who you talk to...
anyway, thanks, If I get so much as a hiccup from Norris when I drop it off (chad said ONE DAY) I'll take it there.
Another guy here had his ATV at norris for weeks and weeks for warranty work, I'll go off if that happens

whoot, glad the kits are rolling in.

The nice folks at The Corral in Monroe, NC are taking care of me. They took my Prairie in even though they don't have the parts yet but expect them soon. I am letting them do some billable work also.

Just found out im number 9 on the list, and they just got 5 kits in. Darn. Looks like another 3 to 4 week wait. In the meantime my warranty has 9 days left and I havent really gotten to ride it much.

Welcome to the Third Class Citizen Page:
If you've shelled out the bucks for kawiwhatever, please take a number and stand in line. Be quiet and we'll call you, quit calling us.

I dropped off my bike today and it took an hour to log in, they were constantly busy- couldnt' read the vin # ( I bought it from them...)
Going to charge me half an hour to "inspect" the rest of the front end for problems...was told it might be ready Wednesday night (code for thursday)

I asked if they find anything wrong, give me a call BEFORE proceeding with work, and AS long as the front end was torn apart "could we work a deal, no need for me to pay full boat hours in the book, no?" He mumbled "ah..we'll see"

I said, "ok, thanks, I'll you wednesday morning, ok?" Just like that- no tones nothing- he kept looking at the desk and said, "no, we'll call you" WTF.
I'm shopping for a Mule, or was...

Norris/Rouch Medina kawasaki, suzuki Rt 18 & Rt. 71

Too bad we cant use the service dept BEFORE shelling out several thousand dollars, eh?
