Default I want a kdx200!

i am thinking about the kdx200 cuase it is the only non MX bike with a 2stroke motor in it...
it comes with hand gaurds and lights, is it a good bike for what i want? this is what i want.
1: i want to be able to jump a 20 foot wide creak with out bottoming out.
2: i want to be able to trailride
3: i want to wheelie it
4: i want to make it road legul eventuly
5: and i want a powerfull bike.
can this bike do what i want?

yes it will probley bottom out on that unless you revalve the suspension....it will trailride, that's what it's made for....it's tricky, but if you pull up hard enough it'll wheelie...to make it go on the road you need blinkers, tail light, headlight, horn and possibly a speedometer...this bike won't have near the amount of hit that a 250 MX bike has...but the power is more linear so you can trail ride it

so it would bottom out on that? i wont be getting more then 4 feet of the ground, just that the creak is about 20 feet wide were we cross with the quads, the depth varys from 6 inches to about 1 foot of water, its gravle bottom,so getting swtuck is not a ishue, thee kid on a xr200 crossed and dident suck in water, but i know how low the intake is on most dirtbike, will it make it if i drive in the water or should i focuz on the jumping?

thanks.

the intake is right under the seat...so if your riding in that deep of water you might want a boat....i'd just drive through it...bikes are good in water

I rode a KDX220 (basically same as 200) and it was easy to wheelie, roll on power, tons of low end, you may need a metal gas tank for street use (I think). The one I rode had Race Tech stiffer springs cuz the owner said the stockers were way too soft, ( he weighs 165lbs.).

Well its not the only bike, KTM has the 200EXC, 250EXC, and 300EXC, all 2 stroke with lights. These bikes are very powerfull too, especially the 300 it is freaking awesome, youll never forget a ride on one of those. But they will cost you a "bit" more than a KDX. If going with the KDX you might as well go for the KDX220, its got a bit more bottom end for a small amount of $ over the 200. The KDX are really good trail bikes. The suspension could be set up a little better for the "bigger bumps". All in all i think youd be very happy with the KDX200 or 220, but like i said go ahead and spend a penny more and get the 220. Do a little moding to the suspension and there are some exhaust kits for these bikes that will make you think your on a 250!
