Mojave seat
#2
I am guessing that you are talking about removing the seat and rear fender assy and not just the seat. If so remove the two bolts that hold the fender brace on and remove the seat assy. Take the bolts to a hardware or tractor supply house and buy two of the clevis pins that have the half circle retaining clip instead of holes for a hair pin clip.(not sure what the proper name is) Make sure they are the same diameter as the bolts and long enough to reach through the frame and seat brace and still have room for the clip to latch. Put these in place of the bols and you can quickly and easily take your seat assy off without any tools. I run a clamp on K&N and so I have to remove the seat often to service the filter. With the pins it takes about 20 seconds to get off.

Mojaveaddict has a good idea but on my Mojave I also had to enlarge the holes in the fender bracket directly under the seat. I made them larger then the nuts therefore those nuts still hold the seat to the fenders but not to the bracket. I only did this to 2 of the 4 screws and I just left the nuts off of the other 2 screws. It sounds confusing but look under the fender directly in the middle of the bike and you should see the 4 screws and nuts. I assume all year Mojaves are like this.
