Default Q's about changing tires

My rear dunflops don't have much tread left but my fronts are practically brand new looking, my question is can I put some new Mud-lights on the rear and keep my fronts? Is there any chance of driveline damage even if I use the stock tire size of 25x10-12's

I'm not sure about drive line damage, but from what I understand it's not a good idea to mix tread patterns

You should be fine although I wouldn't recommend running it in 4 wheel drive on pavement. As long as your tires are able to slip a little it should not hurt anything. But adding any heavier tire or wheel combination will increase the stress on your drivetrain.

Man, I forgot about them being a heavier tire. Anyone know by how much? I definitely never drive in 4wd on pavement, heck the only time I use 4wd is for just short spurts in the mucky stuff.
