Default KFX400 or 700?

Maybe I don't notice the size on a 400 because I have always rode smaller bikes. When I last rode (at 14) I was about the same height I am now, riding an ATC 125M.

According to their website the dealer wants $5399 for a new 2004 700 that is still in the crate. I'm going to call there and see if they can get it out of the crate so I can test ride it.

With Duals, and primary spring ($29) changed, its faster than the 400s, and the 660s. And yet still the best on trails out of the other sport quads out their(Auto Tranny) Just my $0.02
This is the kind of info I'm looking for. I'm definitely in the big and tall category (6-2, 240). When I sat on a VForce it seemed huge. I'm going to go test ride both of these bikes this weekend and see what I come up with.
i know what your on about. thats why i got the raptor. i also am 6ft 2 and i am 15 so im still growing.lol. but i needed something big to carry me and not yet feel that i am on a massive quad lol. the raptor just feels more spotier. but i love the V. my brother rides my raptor and he's 29 yrs old, 100kg and is 6ft4 an its fine with him. it just which looks better. i like both the v and kfx, but the sportie looking quads seem more appealing to me, so its the kfx 400.

The V is a great bike it can do everything and if people tell you it is slow that have not drivin one. I has its flaws like all bikes. At 6'3" and 220 it fits me perfect. It is so ridicilous that people resist change as much as they do. It is a great bike just not a "normal" sport quad you have to have a open mind. Get what is best for you ride it and be safe. BTW you will have NO problems keeping up with any sport quad in the woods.

I took a look again today. I sat on a Blaster just to get a feel for really small, then the 700, then the 400. The 400 felt small -- like I would be really uncomfortable riding it all day. Since most of my riding will be done on weekends it's 700 time for me.

Going to test ride, etc on Saturday. I doubt I'll have it before Tuesday since I don't think the financing departments and stuff work on weekends.

Actually I called the dealer who has the one I want today. The salesman I spoke to said that they didn't have one on the floor, that it was in the crate, and that they wouldn't be able to get it together by tomorrow. The new plan is to go to another dealership and test ride one.
