I'm no mechanical wizard with ATVs though. I payed 2800 for mine. assuming yours runs well, it's a great price. they usually sell around 2500-3000 depending on various factors.

thanks i appreciate it so i should (after have ridden it many times) change the carb to the 1 from the 88 or from the kx just out of curiousity if you know would it be possible to make it run with two carbs cause that would be awesome im also asking all of these questions is because ive never owned a quad but i have ridden them alot i only have dirt bikes

1998 yz 125 its farly new its got a couple parts im gonna tear it down and rebuild it this winter

 

LOL. no you can't put 2 carbs. one carb per cylinder and it only has one cylinder.

yea i just got back a few minutes ago and i cant ride it because it has no fuel and i dont have the oil to mix in the gas and i dont no the ratio i forgot to ask the guy can you tell me wat premix oil you use and the ratio im sure it was in the manual but he lost it i dont blame him i mean it is 18 years old

 

anyone know where i can get a carb for the 87 tecate

 

Be safe with it. Mix one gallon at about 35 to 1. If it's too smokey, go 40 to 1. But if you buy synthetic racing oil like Klotz or Bel-Ray Synthetic, you can go 50 to 1.

As for your carb question, what's wrong with the carb? how do you know it's not working? If something is wrong with it, you don't want to put another one back in it. you're better off getting an after market carb.

I noticed there werent to many recent threads on here from you, but if you see this, i seen you had on one of your threads you said you had some links for tecate 4 parts,i just picked up an 88 and want to try to restore it back to its original condition.
