I like the fact that the v has reverse. My dad also likes the automatic, but wouldnt mind shifting. My dad also loves the green lol! Yeah we looked at the ds and the v because thre raptors are nice looking but not for my dad. They're made for small people lol. When u aid the ds was good for open desert did u mean just going straight? Thanks Doc!

OH yeah at his size the V, DS, are probably the only options. I looked at the KFX400, and it was just too small for me. I guess I could have probably gotten used to it but the V fit me nicely.

No, not at all. It's just the DS was built for more of a wide open area, like desert or dunes. With no reverse it would be a poor choice for the tight trail riding I do. I need reverse and use it a lot.
The DS has better suspention from the factory.
Like I said, both great quads. I think the V might be slightly better for the riding your dad does. Both will put a smile on his face.
