Default 05 Brute Needle Problem??

I just picked up my 05 Brute Force 750 last week, and I had rememberd seeing some posts on a low speed "misfire" because of the carb needles. Was their a recall on this? If so, should it have already been done on my machine before I picked it up. If not, what do I need to do. When riding, it feels a little hesitant for about the first 1/4 inch worth of throttle or so, but once you hit the power band you sure as he!! know it. I didnt know if the power should be "instant" or not. I weigh about 200lbs and it is somewhat difficult for me to pull the front tires to a wheelie height. Thanks for the help,

I would definately check with the dealer and make ure it has been taken care of. Personally I wouldn't take his word for it if he says, "Sure buddy we hooked you up with a good one.". If the needles have been changed there will be paper work on it, no matter what he says they are not going to do it for free meaning there will be a work order from kawasaki most likely. If it all checks out and the needles have been taken care of and you still want more power try a module like the holeshot module from highlifter. I will promise you that you will have NO problem pulling and riding wheelies to your hearts content with that module. The very best performance mod for the money at $100 in my opinion.

The bulletain was for a miss at low speed about 10mph. The hesitation that you are describing is normal the stock CDI retards the timing below 10mph. You can get a module(VDI, holeshot, DG5, moose) or a dynatek CDI to get rid of the timing retard

I am probably going to wait on the programmable VDI Copperhead coming out in a couple of months, I like the idea of having the adjustment. Thanks guys,
