It won't hurt a thing.
Dosen't really matter. Shoot some in both. You just want to get the thing lit to purge what little water is in the fuel system.
If the ether thing makes you nervous you can get an oil squirt can and fill it with gas and shoot it down the carb. Ether will give you a better chance at lighting the thing off before the battery goes away though.

Default water in kfx 700 engine

Ive got grrreat news! I gotter running again. Im so pumed now. Well i got up this morning sprayed ether in it and it did nothing. So i kept on trying to turn it over and the battery was really starting to where down. Then dad and I hooked up the charger to it and it was turning over alot stronger. But, still there was nothing. After some prayer and thinking, I unscrewed the drain plugs for the carbs. That must of did it then cuz she finally took off. There must have been some water in the carbs still or somethin. The oil is pretty much back to normal now probably just need to change it one more time.

Thank you very, very much Doc for all your help and tips. You were a blessing.

God Bless,
Boomer

Good deal, glad you got it going!!!!!
It may run rough every now and then because there may be trace amounts of water in the fuel system. Might be a good idea to get some fuel dryer and dump it in the tank. It only cost a buck or two and may be worth it.
Now that you have it running be sure to check the brake system and the rear end for water. Either one is bad news if water gets into it. If there is water in either one, it needs to be purged.
Glad you saved some money and you learned something to boot. I hope you don't need to use what you learned again though!!!!
Now go have fun with your V!!!!!!!!
