Default New belt on Prairie 2002 Prairie 650 squeeks

I just replaced the belt on my Prairie 650 and now it squeeks when at idle if left in gear. Obviosly the belt is a little tight. Do I need to worry about this or will a little wear on the belt and a little time on it cause it to quit? I did the replacement myself, I was able to roll the old belt off but I had to pull the clutch pully to install the new one. The cluth itself was in pretty good shape and all working well.

Im pretty sure a little squeek at idle in gear is good. Only thing is im pretty sure you shouldnt let it idle in gear, as soon as you come to a stop, put it in neutral.

I agree with you and abide by the "putting it in nutral" idea. I've seen too many times when someone's kid or an inexperienced rider has jumped on an auto atv and hit the throttle and bad things can and do happen.

Thanks for the info
