TIE ROD PROBLEMS
#1
JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE OUT THERE WITH BRUTE FORCE TIE ROD PROBLEMS, I WAS OUT RIDING YESTERDAY,PULLED MY QUAD OFF THE TRAILER AND JUST STARTED DOWN THE TRAIL WHEN MY QUAD STARTED WOBBLING BAD IN THE FRONT END.PULLED OVER AND NOTICED THAT THE TIE ROD END HAD POPPED OFF THE BALL THAT HOLDS IT TOGETHER.THERE WAS A BROKEN PEICEOF THE POT METAL
THAT ALLOWED THE BALL TO GATHER SAND AND MUD AND EVENTUALLY FALL OFF. MY QUESTION IS WHEN IS KAWASAKI GOING TO TAKE SOME RESPONSILBILITY FOR THIS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED. THANK GOD I WAS GOING SLOW WHEN THIS HAPPENED.

After reading stories like yours and before it happened to me I purchased a set of tie rod and ends from Diamond G Racing. They are very very strong and very well constructed. Loosing control at 60 - 70 mph was not going to be my idea of a good time.

One thing all should know the KQ also has a problem. They have a recall going on the ends I believe.
It seems to be a metal strength problem with who ever is making the tie rods for Jap machines.
I have a set of overpriced DG rods. Worth the piece of mind I guess.
