no 28" s - the 750 is all stock - my 650 is brand new - had 1 hr. when we ran - i have been impressed with the 750 - just not for me - i like a lttle lower seat height -- just thought of 1 diff - when we raced - my tires were like brick hard - maybe made a diff i dont know - dont really matter to me i didnt buy to have the biggest or fastest - i had it narrowed to the 750i or the grizz-660-- the dealer in my town told me they couldnt get 650i yet- but were really happy to push the cat 650 - heavy pig!!- than i was talking to my bud's srvc manager -they are a ford dealer also - and he said they had 5 in stock - so i drove 2 hours to check it out and brought it home - it is a great bike for me - thats what counts - we are all different with sra's and 750 or 650 or how we use them -- this one fit ME RIGHT. -thats what counts-M-R

Power isn't everything. A lot of times cost and other factors are involved. When I bought my Prairie 650, the 700 model had just been released. Even the dealer said that the extra 50cc's did not justify the extra $1,000 on the sticker price. The smaller BF650i has it's own place. I would have trouble deciding which one to buy myself. Realisticly the only time that the power difference would have a real effect on performance is on the road. On the trail, it comes down to the rider and the handling of the quad. If the handling is better but it has less HP, it will still win.

If you look at the two ATV's side by side you will see what the dealer told me, that they are exactly the same except for the engine (and that is the same except for the displacement). The fuel tank is the same, the suspension travel is the same, the rack capacity is the same. How many different ways do you have to hear it?

Poindexter,
Just curious...are you sure you are talking about the 650i being only $5899 or are you talking about the 650SRA being that price?
650i vs. 750
Also, the dealer is dead wrong if he believes the 650i and the 750 are the same exact quad with the motor size and MSRP being the only 2 differences. Kaw. is marketing the 650i as having some (IMO) much needed improvements over the 750 including suspension/handling upgrades (better shock valving and castor angles on front end) and a lightened crank and transmission gears (for faster revving). The 650i also has higher compression ratio (9.9:1 instead of 8.8:1) and 1" lower seat height (35.7" vs 36.8"). Otherwise, the 650i is pretty much the same in every other respect as the 750. If the 650i improvements are a big hit, I would strongly suspect most or all of these improvements will find their way on the next year model 750 (if so, that may be the quad for me!).

Suzukiswede,
Good point about the softer seat on the 650i...that will be a nice upgrade as compared to the stiff seat on my 02 P650 for sure!
