On the break-in issue, there are two groups of riders.....one group breaks atv's in at 1/2 throttle for ten hours. The other group, the one I belong to, break them in at full range of rpms and speeds, being careful not to hold it at a certain rpm range for over about 10 minutes. It's a little aggravating running ten hours at different speeds (rpms), but when you're done, you will have broken it in under all the rpm conditions that you will be normally be riding at. I was at 45 mph in low, 63 mph in high by the 3rd hour.

Take your choice.

Also, use good oil filters, look at twin-air filter site and see what you think. I use twin-air filters and amsoil 0W-40 synthetic oil. Good oil, oil filters and air filters make the difference in engine life if installed frequently enough. I didn't put synthetic oil in either of mine until at least 100 hrs.

Also check your engine mounting bolts as a regular maintenance item, at least twice a year.
.
Good luck.
