I own one and it is a 5 sheep forward and one speed reverse

 

they have 8
3 down/5 up
plus a 4-speed reverse!!

 

LOL- THAT WAS FUNNY!

 

Obviously 300exrider knows more about the Mojave than those of us that own them. Tell me how I get to the sixth gear. Do I have to pull back on the handlebars, kick the side of the gearbox, or do I have to get off and run around the machine six times to get to this imaginary gear? Please enlighten us less educated Mojave owners so we can get maximum pleasure out of our machines too!

 

Enough already! It has 5 foward, one reverse. It did in '87 when it first came out, and still does in 2001! Geeze!!!!!
