Bought a 2004 700 Prairie off ebay sight unseen

If I deserved to be flamed for this, be gentle...
Wanted a 4x4 ATV - narrowed it down to Polaris Sportsman 500 and Kawasaki Prairie 700 because they seemed to be a good combination of reliability and power. They both seemed to be selling for between 4k and 4.5k on ebay.
So I bought an '04 Prairie 700 w/ 1700 miles for 4,300. Figured it will cost ~500 to ship from KY to UT, so basically its 4.8k. Did i get taken? Is 1700 miles too many?
The bike seems to be in good shape, the the seller has excellent feedback rating.

I think that it would be reasonable to find a two year old P700 for around $5K. If the bike shows up and it's in good condition, then you got an OK, but not fantastic deal.
Now if you only knew someone who was going to be driving from Ky to UT, you might be able to get it out there a little cheaper.

I did the same thing as you when I bought my Lakota, off ebay. But I lived in Illinois at the time and the seller was in W.V. and I picked it up. Pictures can tell alot and I lucked out, more than likely you will come out well also. Let us know when it arrives and maybe some pictures...........

You did alright, just like said you aint a smashing deal, but you didn't get taken either........ good choice on the 700 instead of the popo 500, the 500 aint areall big power house....

Its only money, and you are the only one that will determine if it was a good deal or not, don't worry about any one elses thoughts.
I put 4000 miles on my 650 Prairie before I sold it and it was perfect.
