Default VDI CDI settings

For those of you that have the VDI, I have 2 questions. First of all, I have a Brute 750 that I run 91 octane in. Do any of you do the same and have programmed their VDI with the 3 offset to compensate for it? If so, could you tell a difference from the preprogrammed map 2 settings? Secondly, is there a disadvantage to enabling limp mode. From what I was reading, it seems as if limp mode is just kind of a safety in case you have belt problems. Do you gain anything by having it shut off? Thanks in advance.

I thought limp mode was designed into the '03 Prairie only. Is it possible to program the limp mode into bikes that didn't come with it, the P700, etc.? Is this Thursday?

There is a switch that if tripped by a loose or broken belt will cause the Atv to go into limp mode. In theory allowing you to get your bike out of the woods slowly. I have not purchased the VDI yet but I am planning on doing it in the future. I will be disabling the limp mode because I carry an extra belt and can change it on the trail in less than 30 min.
