The 700 trans is just like a snowmobile trans. The primary spring is the one in the drive pulley. Changing the primary spring effects what rpm your engine will run at while riding. Stiffer spring = higher rpm and weaker spring = lower rpm. The idea is to find that sweet spot where the engine makes the most power and use the spring that keeps the motor running in that sweet spot under the most conditions.

johndoe you take of the CLUTCH cover on the right side of your bike the BIG BLACK THING!!!!then u take out the clutch wheel and their u go!!!not that hard..u take it out then u just replace ur old one for a more colorful one lol really helps i smash bikes now lol i have a orange blue spring to much stall but then again i race alot lol no hills though
