Radman
I would really like a new exhaust, but I have trouble shelling out 400 bucks on an exhaust for my quad.
I also have a problem cutting on my muffler. Is the stock muffler welded to the headers?
I know I am jetting rich enough, I could probably add an exhaust and not rejet also.
I also had to remove the carbs to reject, but the hardest part was getting the carbs back on and hooked up correctly.

I have an 05 Brute 750. I did the low speed miss recall through my dealer which consisted of messing with the front carb needle. The low speed miss was taken care of, but I wondered if I would still get more performance out of the dynojet kit. I also have the new copperhead VDI CDI which has helped immensely in the mid range, not that I needed the help in the first place. I have also considered a pipe, but I do not want the loudness. I guess I am just looking for performance suggestions when it comes to the dynojet/exhaust systems so any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks fellas

Hollowcd, The jet kit helped me a lot. The throttle response is so crisp it scares you. I have a better take off, and it runs smoother. Well worth the $75.00. Also another cheap performance mod is clutch springs. You can replace them both for under $50.00. Mine will be here today or tommorrow so I can post the results when I install. According to me research I will gain a little on the bottom, a lot in the mid range, and about 2 mph on the top end, and they will save on my belt wear. When ordering springs you need to get the ones that will work for you, there are a lot of factors. Good luck.

Thanks Cammoman. I'll probably dive into it soon, but I have some other projects going right now that I have to finish first. I'll bet that Brute of yours looks sweet with that new snow camo! I have the '05 Hardwoods. We did go out mudding yesterday, and had a blast! Even had to use our winches a few times - found some really thick, deep, black mucky mud. Roughly how much are you guys (Hollowcd) paying for those Copperheads, anyways? Seems like when I looked, the prices were all in Canadian.

Total cost was $308 US. I also had to pay like a $30 fee to get it once UPS showed up at my house, but there are ways around that and I think that Lyle at velocity devices can save you from that now. I would have to say it is worth it. I have written a couple of custom maps, one of which I havent been able to out in yet because I am getting the tie-rod recall done. The mid range is awesome, and I read 73mph on the top end last week. I havent had a chance to run my brothers brute yet, but i will let you know about a side to side comparison when I get to.

That looks like the kit I got from the seller "dirtparts" on E-bay, and it is the same price I think. So are you still running stock tires? I'm going to be going with some different tires very soon, but am considering staying with 25" so as to not lose too much top speed. . . . I love being able to blow by my friends on their Grizzlies!

Well I am kind of in a dilemma. Like I said earlier, I did get the factory update for the front carb needle. This update cured my low speed miss symptoms, and it does seem to run better. There is a little hesitation right at the initial throttle blurp but I didnt know if that was normal. Cammoman I see that you have an 06, so you would have already had the front carb needle problem fixed before you got your quad. Do you think that the elevation is primarily why you see such a difference when you changed, or do you just think that the factory needles dont get the job done right. I dont really want to waste money, so I guess I am just trying to justify. Its only money right??
P.S. My elevation is only 932 ft

My '05 ran better after the carb needle update, but I still don't think it is jetted right. Sometimes there is a little hesitation on the low end, and I still get some backfiring. I guess I'm expecting quite an improvement if I can get the jetting dialed in properly, but if not, I'm "only" out the $59. Plus, I'll have the jet kit in case I do any more performance mods that would require rejetting. By the way, you're at about the same elevation as I am.
