Default CDIs

Been hearing about how CDIs really improve power. How does it gain this power, does it advance the timing or what? Do they make one for singal cylinder engines? Cause if they do give you good power I want one but I have a 360 Prairie. Does Anyone know if they make one for my quad? Any Insite would be appreciated? Strings Kawasaki 360 Prairie

Strings,
The cdi's remove the low end retard and advance the timing through the rpm range and give a higher rev limit .The one I have is adjustable I can turn on and off safety limiters and adjust my own timing maps check this out copperhead.I don't think anyone has one for the 360 .
